The Council on Aging meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:30 AM.

 

Services Provided by the Council on Aging:

Congregate Mealsite - Call to order a meal by 11:00 a.m. the day before

 

Meals-on-Wheels - Call for information on how to sign up for delivery

 

Van Transportation - The van will take Erving Seniors to the Senior Center, shopping and medical appointments during our hours of operation.

 

Information and Referrals - Call the Council on Aging Director

 

Blood Pressure Clinic - First Wednesday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

 

Flu Clinic - Please call the Senior Center at 413-423-3308 to find out when the next flu clinic will be held. This clinic is free to Erving residents, sponsored by the Erving Board of Health and available on a walk-in basis. The shot is recommended for those over 55, those who work with children or the elderly, and those with chronic illness. Pneumonia shots will also be available for those over 60 who have never been vaccinated.

 

Cholesterol/Diabetes Clinic - In the Spring – call for date

 

Foot Clinic - First Thursday of every month from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. The cost is $4 for Erving residents and $8 for non-residents.

 

Weight Loss Group - Every Wednesday morning at 10:15 a.m.

 

Brown Bag Program - First Tuesday of every month after 10:30 a.m.

 

S.E.R.V.E. Program - Once a month distribution, call for information

 

Telephone Reassurance - Phone calls every morning for seniors who want someone to check in on them

 

Fitness Classes - Monday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

 

Aerobic Classes -  Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

 

Dance Classes - Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

 

Painting Classes - Tuesday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

 

Craft Classes - Last Tuesday morning of every month from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

 

Shopping Trips - Thursday afternoon alternating from Turners Falls to Orange

 

Variety of Social Events/Activities/Speakers/Trips/Education Classes
