The Erving Fire Department strives to protect and serve the residents and all of our visitors with the utmost professionalism and training possible.

The Fire Department consists of 30 on-call members, and operates out of two stations with a coverage area of 14 square miles. Station One is located in the center of town on US RT2, with three class A fire apparatus and one heavy rescue truck. Station two is located in the western part of town on RT 63, with two class A fire apparatus and a mini attack pump/rescue truck, and a brush truck.

Erving Fire Department responds to an average of 170 calls per year with 95 medical calls. Our department has an extensive training program and responds to all incidents for fires, collapse, haz-mat, motor vehicle accident and extrication, search and rescues, public assistance, etc.

The department has several instructors certified to teach in a wide variety of programs such as Firefighter Series, First Responder/CPR, ICS and NIMS, Wildland fires and Extrication and Rescue.
